FIRST EDITION. LONDON : 1888. Hardback. Red cloth; gilt lettered spine with black decoration to cover also with lettered cover and gilt cup motif. Bevelled boards. Untrimmed edges as issued. Bright, tight and clean. Minor wear and dulling to spine. Neat inscription to half-title, dated 1921. No internal markings. VERY GOOD. Scarce first printing. (viii), 337 pages. Not in Shaberman – see his Bibliography No. 84 for only mention of this title in the ‘Indian and Colonial Series’.
